Today was an exciting day for everyone anticipating The Mandalorian! The full principal cast for the series was officially released and it revealed an assortment of incredible actors that will be making the jump to a Galaxy far, far away. Among them was Pedro Pascal, who will be donning the Mandalorian armor as the title character in the series, which is set after the events of Return Of The Jedi.
After months of rumors and speculation about Pascal being cast in the series, the Nexu is out of the bag, and the actor himself has wasted no time in breaking his silence over the news. Earlier tonight Pedro Pascal shared an image on Instagram showing a set sketch drawings of his character, done by Dave Filoni. Filoni is an executive producer and episodic director for The Mandalorian, and as those who followed the productions of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels know, he's also an amazing artist in his own right.
You can take a look at the sketches below:
Pascal will star alongside Gina Carano (Deadpool), Nick Nolte (Affliction), Carl Weathers (Predator), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), and Omid Abtahi (American Gods). The series' first season, which is expected to be eight episodes in length, is written by executive producer Jon Favreau and directed by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow (Better Call Saul), and Rick Famuyiwa (Dope). The series is executive produced by Favreau and Filoni, as well as Colin Wilson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. The Mandalorian will debut on Disney+ next year!
