After months of secrecy, Jon Favreau is going all out on sharing teases for his upcoming Star Wars television series, The Mandalorian. Today just so happens to be Favreau's birthday and earlier tonight he posted a photo on social media of himself with George Lucas, who had paid a surprise visit to the set.
Now, once more, Jon Favreau shared another photo, this time with a trio of familiar faces. Standing alongside Favreau once more is George Lucas, and along with him is none other than Dave Filoni on the set of The Mandalorian. Filoni, who's best know for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, was recently confirmed to be one of the episodic directors for The Mandalorian and will helm the first episode. You can check out the photo below:
Those who followed the production of The Clone Wars know that Lucas and Filoni worked closely on that series for many years, so it's incredibly exciting to see those two back together. It's also thrilling to see Dave finally hard at work directing live-action Star Wars content, which is something fans have been demanding for years.
Be sure to follow Jon Favreau on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as I'm sure he'll be sharing even more photos from the set of The Mandalorian very soon!
