Congratulations are in order for the crew of Star Wars Rebels, the animated series which wrapped up its four season run on Disney XD earlier this year. The series was nominated for three Emmy Awards for its final season, in the categories of Outstanding Children's Program, Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for the episode "Family Reunion and Farewell", and Outstanding Sound Editing (Comedy or Drama half-hour and animation) for the episode "A World Between Worlds".

The fourth and final season of Rebels hits blu-ray and DVD on July 31st.
Other Emmy nominees include Star Wars alumnus:
- Donald Glover (Lando in Solo: A Star Wars Story) who was nominated four times, three for his work on Atlanta which he created and stars in (best actor in a comedy series, writing for a comedy series, and directing for a comedy series) and one for his guest appearance on Saturday Night Live (best guest actor in a comedy series), which included a memorable Lando sketch.
- Phoebe Waller-Bridge (L3-37 in Solo), who was nominated for best writing for a drama series for her work on Killing Eve.
- Thandie Newton (Val in Solo) also picked up a nomination for her work on Westworld in the category of best supporting actress in a drama series.
- Laura Dern (Vice Admiral Holdo in The Last Jedi) was nominated for best actress in a limited series for her work on The Tale.
- Bill Hader, who consulted with JJ Abrams on the voice of BB-8 for The Force Awakens, was nominated for four Emmys. Three for his work on Barry (best actor in a comedy series, best writing in a comedy series, and best directing in a comedy series), and one for Saturday Night Live (best guest actor in a comedy series)
- Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and performed "Jabba Flow" with JJ Abrams for The Force Awakens, was nominated for best guest actor in a comedy series for his appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Keri Russell, who is rumored to appear in Episode IX, was nominated for best actress in a drama series for her work on The Americans
- David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who will be writing a producing an upcoming series of Star Wars films, were nominated for best writing for a drama for their work on Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones picked up 22 nominations total, including best drama series.
