According to Fantha Tracks, Billy Dee Williams is back as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars Episode IX. They report to have heard this story from two independent sources connected to the production.
Lando's absence from the sequel trilogy has been noted by many fans, who hoped that Williams would get the same treatment as Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Unfortunately, Lando has been absent from the sequel films thus far. However, with Luke and Han's characters having been killed off in the last two films and Carrie Fisher tragically passing away in late 2016, Lando can provide a living connection to the past for our new heroes as they set off on their own path in this new film.
On top of that, Lando is experiencing a bit of a renaissance lately following Donald Glover's portrayal of the character in Solo: A Star Wars Story. After seeing Glover's fantastic take on the role it would be fun to return to the classic and see Billy Dee reprise the part.
As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
