With the North American release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi as a digital download today, writer/director Rian Johnson took to Twitter to reveal an extra bonus feature which he describes as being "kinda hidden" on the film's home media release.  Johnson revealed that if you purchase the film digitally you will have the option to view a "music only version" or the film.  This means that everything in the soundtrack which isn't John Williams' iconic score (sound effects, dialogue, etc.) will be removed so that fans can experience just the music and the images.  Johnson tweeted,

This sounds like a cool new way to experience The Last Jedi.  It's just a shame you can't do so with the other seven films (eight, if you count Michael Giacchino's Rogue One score).

The Last Jedi is available digitally in the U.S and Canada now and will be released on blu-ray and 4K Ultra on March 27th.
