Lucasfilm announced today that eight more episodes of the animated micro-series Star Wars: Forces of Destiny will debut on the Disney YouTube channel on Monday March 19th at 10:00am PT. The episodes will also all air together as a TV special on the Disney Channel on March 25th at 9:50pm. This new season will feature episodes focused on Ahsoka Tano, Padme Amidala, Rose Tico, Rey, Jyn Erso, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker. Luke will be the first male character to received their own episode of the series (though characters like Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker, and Finn have appeared on the series, they have been in supporting roles).
What's more exciting is that Mark Hamill will be voicing Luke in the episode, which is set on Dagobah during the events of The Empire Strikes Back. Also reprising their role from the live action films for the first time is Kelly Marie Tran, who will play Rose Tico. Daisy Ridley and Felicity Jones will also reprise their roles from the live action films of Rey and Jyn Erso, respectively.
Entertaiment Weekly, who made the announcement of the series return, also had some new images from upcoming episodes. You can see some of them below,
