While filming on the JJ Abrams directed Star Wars Episode IX is still several months away, work on the project is well underway at Lucasfilm and Bad Robot headquarters.  Omega Underground is reporting that Paul Inglis has been hired as "the lead supervising art director on the film".  Inglis' previous credits include Blade Runner 2049 and the HBO series Game of Thrones.  He also worked on Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which Abrams produced.

You can see Inglis discuss his work on Game of Thrones in the video below,

As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.

Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters on December 20th, 2019.  The film is directed by JJ Abrams with a script by Abrams and Chris Terrio.
