Now that we've all had a chance to see The Last Jedi multiple times in theaters, it's time to start looking ahead to the future and the next Star Wars film on the schedule. And this time we're going to have a much quicker turn around being that Solo: A Star Wars Story is now less than five months away from being released.
While we're still just mere weeks removed from the premiere of Episode VIII, fans have already begun to speculate about when we'll get our first look at Solo in the form of a trailer. Thankfully, director Ron Howard is here to reassure fans about the inevitable teaser.
Howard has been very active on social media during the production of Solo, and when asked about the trailer on Twitter, he didn't hesitate to drop some hints about its release:
Hang in there :-). Now that ep 8 is out there it won’t be long https://t.co/EcqApp8ROs— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) January 8, 2018
With The Last Jedi still topping out at the box office, it makes sense to keep the lid on Solo for a little while longer. But the way Ron Howard is talking, it won't be too long. We shall wait and see!
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (True Detective), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Paul Bettany (The Avengers). The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
