While much of the focus of Star Wars fandom remains on The Last Jedi, it is beginning to shift towards the next film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters in just over five months. While we've yet to actually see any official trailers or still images from the film (other than behind the scenes content director Ron Howard put on Twitter), an official synopsis for the film has been released. The synopsis comes from Disney's 2018 media kit, and was first reported online by Bryan Young over at Big Shiny Robot.
The synopsis says,
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga's most unlikely heroes.
Solo: A Star Wars Story releases in U.S. theaters on May 25, 2018.

The synopsis confirms one thing that fans have long speculated/assumed would be in the film. Solo will show us how Han Solo and Chewbacca first met. I also find the wording of "a series of daring escapades" to be interesting. It seems likely that the final one of those escapades will be one that Han will be bragging about for years to come.
No word yet on when we will see the first trailer for the film, however director Ron Howard did say that it "won't be long" until one is released.
UPDATE: Lucasfilm has publicly revealed this synopsis on StarWars.com, which I guess makes it doubly official.
