A new behind the scenes featurette for Star Wars: The Last Jedi focused on the character of Rose Tico and the actress who plays her, Kelly Marie Tran, has been released on the official Star Wars social media channels. The featurette tracks Tran's journey to become Rose from the audition phase through her time on set. A really cool aspect of this new video is that it includes a portion of the chemistry read Tran did with Finn actor John Boyega to make sure she was right for the role. You also get to see writer/director Rian Johnson's seemingly make the decision to cast Tran as Rose. Check out the video below,
Rose Tico was an excellent addition to the Star Wars canon in The Last Jedi and Tran knocked it out the park with her portrayal of the character. I can't wait to see what comes next for the character in Star Wars Episode IX.
