After 37 years, we're finally seeing Luke Skywalker with a blue lightsaber again. There have been many questions heading into Star Wars: The Last Jedi about what to expect from Luke Skywalker, if we'll see him in action, and what weapon he might use should he take action again. A new Japanese poster for The Last Jedi, appears to answer some of those questions. The poster, which was released online today shows Luke Skywalker holding his old blue lightsaber. Check it out below,
The international posters is very similar to the North American poster, with the main difference being it switches the placement of Luke Skywalker and Rey.
It's interesting that we're seeing Luke with the blue saber again, considering most had assumed that, should he wield a lightsaber in the sequel trilogy, he would use his green saber from Return of the Jedi. This begs the question of why? We'll get our answers in 45 days.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th. The
film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daisy Ridley as
Rey, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as
Kylo Ren, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico,
Laura Dern as Amilyn Holdo, Benicio Del Toro as DJ, and Lupita Nyong'o
as Maz Kanata.
