Filming is currently underway on the upcoming young Han Solo Star Wars stand alone film from directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street) in Fuerteventura, Spain.  Preparations for the shoot in the Fuerteventura began in March and now it appears the shoot is underway.  The local news site NoticiasFuerteventura.com posted an aerial shot today that appears to show the finished set.  The picture, which you can see below, is pretty blurry so you can't get a great look at what's going on, but if you are trying to avoid all Star Wars spoilers stop reading now.  This is your SPOILER ALERT!

The Han Solo set in Fuerteventura,

Obviously, the first thought that will probably run through most fans minds is that the set in the picture looks like a desert planet.  This raises the question, are we going back to Tatooine, Jakku, or somewhere entirely new?  We learned from The Force Awakens that no matter how much a planet may look like a planet we've seen before, there is no guarantee that it is.

Setting the film in a desert environment does fit in with Kathleen Kennedy's comments back in November that the Han Solo film will have a "western" feel.

The untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Michael K. Williams (The Wire).  The film is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie), with a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan.
