The fifth issue of the Marvel comic series Star Wars: Darth Vader was released on this day back in 2015.
The comic series is a story centred on the character of Darth Vader in the time period between Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
The Sith Lord heads a battle droid army to the base operated by the Emperor's cloak-and-dagger agent Cylo. The former Jedi Knight learns about Clyo's hidden experiments and what is being created to ultimately usurp Lord Vader as the Emperor's chief enforcer.
The publisher summarised the story with these three points:
- Vader continues his investigation into the Emperor's secrets
- Not everyone wants him to find out the truth
- Who is Vader's mysterious new rival?
The fifth issue was the penultimate edition of a six issue series in the Star Wars: Darth Vader's first story arc.
The comic series was first published on February 11, 2016 and concluded with its twenty-fifth issue in October last year.
