MTV announced the nominees for the 2017 MTV Movie Awards and Star Wars was well represented among the nominees.  Not only did Rogue One: A Star Wars Story pick up two nominations but some other members of the Star Wars picked up a few more nominations.  Rogue One was nominated for Best Picture and Felicity Jones was nominated for Best Hero for her role as Jyn Erso.  Another Rogue One actor, Riz Ahmed (Bodhi Rook) was nominated in the Next Generation category (not for any specific role).  In addition, stars of the upcoming Han Solo movie, Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover (who will be playing young Lando in the film) will be facing off in the Best Actor in a Show for their roles on Game of Thrones and Atlanta, respectively.

Last year, The Force Awakens took home three awards (Movie of the Year, Breakthrough performance for Daisy Ridley, and Best Villain for Adam Driver).  This year's ceremony will take place on May 7th at 8pm.  You can vote in the awards here.  Best of luck to all the Star Wars nominees!
