Filming has already begun on the young Han Solo stand alone film, but casting for the film is still going on. Variety is reporting that Pheobe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Broadchurch) is in talks to appear in the young Han Solo film. Apparently the role would be "a CGI-driven performance", which seems to imply it will be a motion capture role (like Maz Kanata and Snoke in The Force Awakens). She has received critical acclaim for her role in the Amazon Prime series Fleabag, having been nominated for a Critics Choice award for her role.
If cast, Waller-Bridge would join a cast that already includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with a script by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan. It is slated for a 2018 release.
As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
