Filming for the upcoming young Han Solo stand alone Star Wars film is set to being in Febraury. While the majority of the film's production will take place at Pinewood Studios in the UK, where the majority of Star Wars filming takes place, the film will feature several new filming locations. The Spanish website ElBlogDeCineEspanol is reporting that filming for the film will take place in Italy and Spain. The filming is Spain is said to be taking place in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.
The Tumblr user Star Wars Hyperdrive visited Fuerteventura on vacation in 2012 and posted some pictures. Check them out below,
As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
The Han Solo film hits theaters in 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich as
Han, Glover as Lando, and Emilia Clarke in an unknown role. The film is
directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
