New Sneaky 'Episode VIII' Set Photos Surface (Updated!)

Leaked set photos are not uncommon these days, especially with two Star Wars films currently in production and several soon to be. But some days we get some unexpected surprises, and today is one of those days. Last month a collection of Star Wars: Episode VIII set photos surfaced featuring aerial shots of the Millennium Falcon and a new Ahch-To set at Pinewood Studios in England. Since then we have been treated a few other leaks, but a more recent one comes from an unlikely source.

Our friends at Making Star Wars pointed us to a report by Le Jedi Lorrain which uncovered some new photos on Imgur from the same set, but they're from the ground this time and they're not from Episode VIII crew members. It appears a group of people actually snuck onto the set and even climbed on top of the Falcon itself. While we certainly don't condone the actions of these cat burglars, we can't help but admire they're handiwork. These photos are certainly incredible to see, showing us perspectives of the set we wouldn't otherwise get. You can check them all out below, but be advised; some may be considered spoilers. If you don't want to know anything about Episode VIII, stop reading now. This is your official SPOILER ALERT.

Along with the Falcon you should also spot the mysterious tree in the background that we've seen in previous photos. We still don't know what this location is going to portray in the film, but speculation points to it being a Jedi Temple of some kind, since Ahch-To is said to be the home of the Jedi's first sanctuary.

Star Wars: Episode VIII opens in theaters on December 15th, 2017!

Update: Even more photos have popped up! This time the mighty Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew, shared a link on social media to an urban exploration forum which featured a post from one of the people that snuck onto the set. They explain that this Ahch-To set is located at Longcross Studios, and that after searching in other locations they found the Millennium Falcon "parked in the middle of the woods". The pictures they share of their visit are nothing short of breathtaking. You can check out below:
