We're coming up on the one year anniversary of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, and how better to celebrate than with an announcement at about this year's Celebration. Lucasfilm announced today that Warwick Davis will be hosting the Celebration Stage at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016, which takes place July 15th-17th at the ExCel Center in London, England. Davis is reprising the role he held at the last Celebration Europe, which was held in 2013 in Essen, Germany. Davis posted a video on his YouTube to coincide with the announcement, check it out below,
Davis is best known to Star Wars fans for his role as Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, as well as the Ewok adventure movies (Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor). He also portrayed Wald and Weazel in The Phantom Menace and Wollivan in The Force Awakens. His other credits include the titular characters in Willow and the Leprechaun series, several roles in the Harry Potter films, and as himself in the mockumentary series Life's Too Short.
It was previously announced that David Collins would also be returning as stage host for Star Wars Celebration. Collins has hosted the Digital Stage at every Celebration since Celebration V in 2010. Single day tickets for Celebration Europe 2016 are still available and can be purchased here.
