Arguably one of the most popular Star Wars video game series has been the Lego Star Wars games. They previously covered the original six films and even The Clone Wars series, and fans have been wondering if we might see a game based on any new stories, such as The Force Awakens. Well, it looks like we won't be wondering for much longer, as some new info has surfaced which apparently confirms that Lego Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is indeed happening. Just mere hours ago a listing for the game appeared on Amazon Italy, and has since been removed. In addition, an email from WB Interactive also corroborated the information. Rumor has it that the game could be announced as early as today(Tuesday). The game is also said to have a tentative release date of May 31st.
Apparently the game will not only cover the film itself but will include bonus content set between Episodes VI and VII. Hopefully we will learn more about this game very soon.
Update: A listing for the game has also appeared on Microsoft's Xbox store. It includes a description along with a ton of photos from the game, a few of which you can check out below. It also reveals the release date to be June 28th.
