We are incredibly saddened to report the loss of an important member of the Star Wars family. Andrew Jack, who worked as a dialect coach on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and was best known on screen as Caluan Ematt in those films, has passed away at the age of 76 due to complications of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Today we are saddened to report the loss of a legendary actor, and a pivotal part of the Star Wars saga. Max Von Sydow, who is perhaps best know to Star Wars fans as Lor San Tekka in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has passed away at the age of 90.
The Swedish actor had a long and vibrant career that can be traced all the way back to the 1940's. He had numerous roles in TV and film, and was well known for his roles in such films as The Greatest Story Ever Told(1965), The Exorcist(1973), and Flash Gordon(1980). More recently he portrayed the the Three Eyed Raven in season six of Game Of Thrones.

They discuss their favorite characters, moments, and how their views have changed on the film 4 years after its release. They also share their favorite memories of seeing The Force Awakens together for the first time back in 2015. The hit animated series Star Wars Resistance reached its emotional peak with its most recent episode, and simultaneously added another layer of drama to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Toy Fair is going on now in New York and earlier today and Hasbro had an incredible amount of products to reveal! Included were new two from all three trilogies, Rogue One, and some really cool new things from the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story line. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of all that has been revealed!
The first run of episodes from the new animated series Forces Of Destiny, which were released this Summer, featured a variety of beloved characters from across the saga. It has be announced that a new batch of episodes is on the way, and they will include even more classic Star Wars characters.
The brilliant folks at Bad Lip Reading have released a brand new video where they revealed their own twisted and hilarious version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. BLP is well known for their viral videos that dub over the original dialogue of movies, TV shows and more(Admit it: You've had that Seagull song stuck in your head at least once.)
Their rendition of The Force Awakens is especially awesome and funny because it includes the voice of The Last Jedi himself, Mark Hamill. If you have heard Mark speak at all at length, you know he can do a pretty hilarious impersonation of his longtime Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford. For the video, the BLP team got Hamill to dub over some of Han Solo's scenes in The Force Awakens, turning some of the film's most emotional moments into comedy gold. One of the many highly anticipated events at each and every Star Wars Celebration is the Celebration art show, which brings together some of the communities' most talented artists to showcase and sell their artwork. Star Wars Celebration Orlando, which kicks off in less than a month, is no different.
Earlier today a new behind the scenes featurette for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released by Lucasfilm. The video gives fascinating new looks at the film including never before seen footage and new dialogue. In addition, there was a bit of an Easter Egg in the featurette that answers a long standing question about the film.

In case you haven't heard, this is absolutely the best time ever to be a Star Wars fan. Apart from all the amazing content on television and in books and comics, we also have a new feature film to look forward to every year. While the we currently have Rogue One and the Han Solo standalone film, as well as Episodes VIII & IX on the horizon, it appears there is no end in sight for future films.
There's no denying that last year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a visually stunning film, and much of that can be credited to the visual effects wizards at Industrial Light & Magic. Just recently ILM released a new "behind the magic" video showcasing a breakdown of the CG elements in the film and how they were integrated with some of the practical elements. This video gives us an incredible window into the creative process and helps us truly appreciate all the work ILM does. You can watch it below:
One of the newest additions to Hasbro's Titanium Series, which is part of the Black Series line, is a new selection of the die-cast mini-helmets. While we've previously seen helmets based on ones from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including Kylo Ren's, Captain Phasma's and X-Wing Pilot's, there's still plenty more on the way.
We are now just a few weeks away from the official release of the toys and merchandise that will accompany Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Over the past week we have been treated to tons of reveals from the new Rogue One line, and it appears we're not done with them yet.

Last year during the approach to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters, the hottest Star Wars item on the market was easily the Sphero BB-8. The tiny toy captured the hearts of millions of fans by realistically bringing to life a Droid we all adored even before we saw him on the big screen. Now, with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story right around the corner, Sphero is giving their BB-8 an upgrade that will change the way you interact and control the droid.
After months of speculation we finally have some solid details on the upcoming 3D Blu-ray version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Today, Entertainment Weekly announced that this new collector's edition box set will include four discs that feature not only the film itself, in 3D, but also a load of new bonus features. Along with all of the behind the scenes material that was released with the standard Blu-ray release, this edition will include even more previously unseen content, including an audio commentary track by director J.J. Abrams and some new deleted scenes. Furthermore, EW provides a full description of the included bonus features:
A look at how sound technicians blend action with audio effects in the featurette Foley: A Sonic Tale.
Sounds of the Resistance, another audio themed doc showing how the sound designers blended real recordings into otherworldly effects in the film.
Deleted Scenes – While there were a handful of deleted footage on the original Blu-ray, this one promises even more “never-before-shared” scenes.
Dressing the Galaxy – A look at how wardrobe designs from the original trilogy were retooled by costume designer Michael Kaplan to fit the galaxy three decades later.
Daisy Ridley and John Boyega share a conversation in The Scavenger and the Stormtrooper, a featurette that was released only on the previous disc as an exclusive at Target stores.
Inside the Armory – A tour of the various weapons and battle gear in the battle between the Resistance and The First Order.
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D Collector's Edition will hit retailer's shelves across the globe starting in October. It will be out in Holland and Sweden on October 31st, Italy & Spain on November 2nd, Australia on November 9th, The United States & Canada on November 15th, Brazil on November 16th and Germany on November 24th.
One of the many questions that has surrounded Star Wars: The Force Awakens since it's release has been how C-3PO came to have a red arm in the film. Thankfully we got the answer in the one shot Marvel comic C-3PO #1 that was released last April. Now the story surrounding Threepio's famous appendage is expanding ever further and you will be able to play it in the Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game.
Today, a new free DLC was released exclusively for Playsation 3 and Playsation 4 players and is based on the same storyline from the comic. The Phantom Limb level pack puts you in control of C-3PO and nine other droids after they have crash landed on the harsh and desolate world of Taul.
Along with Threepio, who is once again voiced by Anthony Daniels, another major droid character is O-MR1, who is a First Order protocol droid who has been taken prisoner by the other Resistance droids. O-MR1 is voiced by Simon Pegg, who also portrayed Unkar Plutt in The Force Awakens. The other droids included in the DLC are described in the official description:
"First up is PZ-99, a security droid whose prime directive is to protect all non-combat personnel. Teaming up with him is VL-44, another security droid, armed with an incinerator to destroy gold LEGO bricks and fend off the hostile creatures on the surface of Taul. There’s also CO-34, a construction droid able to do most of the heavy lifting for the group, MSE-Y, a repair droid, GNK-189, a power droid, and 2MED2, a medical droid."

On Sunday night the 2016 Teen Choice Awards aired and the news quickly spread that Daisy Ridley, who portrayed Rey in last year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, had one the award for "Movie Breakout Star". Now it has also come to our attention that her co-star, Adam Driver, won the award for "Movie Villain" for his role as Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens.
Other nominees in that category included Daniel Brühl(Captain America: Civil War), Jesse Eisenberg(Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Aidan Gillen(Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials), Charlize Theron(The Huntsman: Winter’s War) and Ed Skrein(Deadpool).
Big congrats to Adam Driver, as well as Daisy Ridley, for their much deserved wins!
