John Boyega Will Voice Finn In 'Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Way back in 2005 Lego Star Wars: The Video Game introduced us to the concept of a Lego video game and was a massive hit. Now, over a decade later, Lego is returning to a Galaxy far, far away with Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is slated to retell the new film in Lego's unique and funny way. In the first iteration of this classic series none of the characters actually spoke. Every scene, even such iconic moments as The Empire Strikes Back's "I am your father" scene, were mimed by the characters in hilarious fashion. In later games based on other franchises such as The Lord Of The Rings, and more recently, Jurassic World, voices were added into the cutscenes and gameplay. Now it appears this new Lego Star Wars game will be following suit because The Force Awakens actor John Boyega has confirmed that he will be voicing his character, Finn, in the game. Boyega tweeted the confirmation after the game was officially announced earlier today:

The game looks amazing on it's own, but it's especially exciting to hear the game will include dialogue from one of the original actors as well. Hopefully this means Daisy Ridley(Rey), Oscar Isaac(Poe Dameron) and others will be back as well to reprise their roles!

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits a variety of consoles on June 28th!
