Think you couldn't get more hyped for Star Wars Battlefront? Think again! Gamesom, the annual video game trade fair, is happening now in Cologne, Germany and Electronic Arts was there to reveal more gameplay from the highly anticipated game. Earlier this week they teased a look at a new game mode titled "Fighter Squadron", and today they did not disappoint with almost two minutes of footage showing off an epic dogfight over Sullust between TIE Fighters, X-Wings, A-wings, the Millennium Falcon and even Boba Fett's Slave I. You can check that out below:

Fighter Squadron will pit 10 Rebel players against 10 Imperial players with additional AI fighters to create an intense, immersive experience. Each team's goal is to get 200 kills, or have the most amount of kills by the time the match is over. As seen in the trailer, one objective in this scenrio will be to either to destroy the opposing team's shuttle or protect your own. Each team's ships will have unique abilities, such as speed boosts and shields, as well as evasive maneuvers, and powers up will be available for pickup throughout the map. They also confirm that the Millennium Falcon and Slave I will be the "hero starfighters" for the Rebels and Imperials, respectively.

“Visually, it’s extremely exhilarating," says Battlefront's associate designer Peter Forsman  "The sky is crawling of enemy ships, and you see sparks and explosions from ships about to be taken down. On top of that, you’ve got this great music, sound design, and gameplay, making the whole thing feel like an authentic Star Wars dogfight.”
