There's still a few days left to vote in the Hasbro Fans Choice poll for which character should be made in the 6 inch scale Black Series line of action figures, and Dave Filoni is making some big promises if his character wins. The Star Wars Rebels executive producer tweeted out a new image of Sabine Wren from season two of Rebels today, promising they would "make sure you get the best live-action representation of her!" if she wins. Currently Sabine is sitting in second place with 24% percent of the vote. She is trailing Darth Revan, who currently has 40% of the vote. Though that may seem like a long shot, Sabine has been slowly making up ground on Revan over the past couple of days. With the winner set to be revealed at the Hasbro Star Wars panel at San Diego Comic Con on Friday July 10th, there is still plenty of time for her to pull ahead.
We at The SWU have been endorsing Sabine in this poll, as we feel there need to be more action figures of female characters. The female characters are dramatically under represented in the current action figure releases and this is our chance to send a message to the powers that be that fans do want more female characters as action figures. (Plus, wouldn't it also be nice to get some high quality Rebels figures on the shelves, as opposed to the current 5-points-of-articulation ones currently swinging from the pegs). So vote now, and vote Sabine!
