It's awesome that we're finally beginning to learn more about Sabine's backstory. We know a lot transpired on Mandalore during the Clone Wars, and Sabine has hinted at her time at the Imperial Academy on Mandalore. Learning more about her journey to becoming a Rebel, and what role Ketsu played in it, is going to be very interesting.

"Blood Sisters" airs Wednesday, November 18th at 9:30pm ET/PT on Disney XD!

Season two of Star Wars Rebels kicked off earlier this week with the premiere episode "The Lost Commanders". That episode ended on an enticing cliffhanger that left our heroes stranded with Clone Troopers Rex, Wolffe and Gregor on the planet Seelos anticipating an attack by the Empire. Lucasfilm has released a clip from the next episode titled "Relics Of The Old Republic". In the footage, the crew assesses their situation and prepares to leave the planet, meanwhile in space, Hera and Chopper get an unfortunate surprise. You can watch the clip in full below:

Two New 'Star Wars Rebels' Season Two Clips Revealed

By: Benjamin Hart

Tomorrow season two of the hit animated series Star Wars Rebels kicks off with the brand new episode "The Lost Commanders" which features the return of three beloved Clones from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Today we have been treated to, not one, but two clips from the episode. The first comes from IGN and shows Kanan, Ezra, Zeb and Sabine meeting the Clones, and ends in a tense standoff. In the second clip, which comes from ComicBook.com, the confrontation is diffused with the mention of a mutual friend. Check them both out below:

Interestingly, Rex mentions that he fought alongside Ahsoka "from the battle of Christophsis to the siege Of Mandalore". The siege of Mandalore is an event that we have actually yet to see. That story was originally set to be told in an episode arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but the series ended before those episodes could be finished. Dave Filoni subsequently revealed concept art from those episodes which gave us a brief glimpse at what they had in store. Perhaps Rebels will finally fill us in on what that story entailed.

"The Lost Commanders" premieres tomorrow(Wednesday) at 9:30pm ET/PT on Disney XD!

Dave Filoni Reveals New Sabine Image, Promises Best Possible Action Figure If She Wins | #VoteSabine

By: Dominic Jones

There's still a few days left to vote in the Hasbro Fans Choice poll for which character should be made in the 6 inch scale Black Series line of action figures, and Dave Filoni is making some big promises if his character wins.  The Star Wars Rebels executive producer tweeted out a new image of Sabine Wren from season two of Rebels today, promising they would "make sure you get the best live-action representation of her!" if she wins.  Check out the tweet below,
Currently Sabine is sitting in second place with 24% percent of the vote.  She is trailing Darth Revan, who currently has 40% of the vote.  Though that may seem like a long shot, Sabine has been slowly making up ground on Revan over the past couple of days.  With the winner set to be revealed at the Hasbro Star Wars panel at San Diego Comic Con on Friday July 10th, there is still plenty of time for her to pull ahead.

We at The SWU have been endorsing Sabine in this poll, as we feel there need to be more action figures of female characters.  The female characters are dramatically under represented in the current action figure releases and this is our chance to send a message to the powers that be that fans do want more female characters as action figures.  (Plus, wouldn't it also be nice to get some high quality Rebels figures on the shelves, as opposed to the current 5-points-of-articulation ones currently swinging from the pegs).  So vote now, and vote Sabine!

Hasbro has teamed up with StarWars.com to give us, the fans, a chance to decide which character will be next to be immortalized as one of their incredibly detailed, 6-inch Black Series action figures. Right now you can head over to the official Star Wars site and pick from any of the following characters; Ben Kenobi, Darth Revan, a Gamorrean Guard, General Grievous, Lando Calrissian, Sabine Wren and a Snowtrooper. These finalist were chosen via various polls across several different fan sites that were revealed last week. The poll will be open until the Hasbro's panel on July 10th at San Diego Comic Con. The winner of the contest will be announced subsequently at the panel.

Those of us at The Star Wars Underworld fully endorse Sabine Wren! We need more female action figures, especially Star Wars Rebels female figures. At the time this article is written Darth Revan is leading by a significant margin, but there's still time to turn the tide. Head over to StarWars.com now and #VoteSabine now!

Hera & Sabine Fight Creatures In New 'Rebels' Clip

By: Benjamin Hart

With only mere hours left until the premiere of the series, The Wrap has provided us with a new clip from Star Wars Rebels! Although it's unknown which episode this clip is from, it features Hera Syndulla(Vanessa Marshall) and Sabine Wren(Tiya Sircar) investigating a debri cluttered hanger bay where they are subsequently attacked by strange creatures. Check out it below:

The Wrap also spoke with Vanessa Marshall about her role:

“Hera embodies just the right amount of moxie, fierce intelligence and unending compassion,” Marshall told TheWrap. “Her fearlessness along with her nurturing spirit inspire me. I am honored to voice such a strong female role model, and I hope that her journey and her commitment to standing up for what is right serves as a powerful example for us all.”

What's really interesting and awesome about the clip is the inclusion of downed ARC-170 Starfighters and Republic Gunships from The Clone Wars. Being that Rebels Executive producer Dave Filoni and his a large portion of his crew previously worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this is a nice nod to that series and a great way to connect everything together. Also, any guesses on what planet this could be? Leave yours in the comments below.

The premiere episode of Star Wars Rebels, "Spark Of Rebellion", is coming to the Disney Channel tonight(Friday) at 9pm ET/PT. Be sure to tune in to that and be on the lookout for more episodes, especially the one this clip is from, coming to Disney XD in the following weeks.

New Star Wars Rebels Clip: Sabine the Artist

By Ciaran Duggan

A new Star Wars Rebels clip has been unveiled today, concentrating on the artistically creative female Mandalorian – Sabine (voiced by Tiya Sicar). You can view this new clip below:

Fortunately, this clip is merely a snip it of a far more elaborate preview. In the second of a series of four weekly special sneak previews, Star Wars fans will be able to examine Sabine and delve into the disposition of the Mandalorian character in the short Rebels sneak peak which is set to be released this Monday on Disney XD and Starwars.com.

Her artistic talents I am sure will be explored further in the Monday preview; her artistic flair has already been noted by the Tiya Sicar, who had hinted at Sabine’s imaginative and creative ingenuity:

“She does everything with flair. When she’s blowing stuff up, she’s doing it artfully.” - Tiya Sicar (April 2014)

Rebels Trailer to Debut on May 4th

By: Lillian Skye

There has been no shortage of Star Wars news this week with the announcement that the Expanded Universe is no longer cannon, and the reveal of the Episode VII cast.

Now, a Star Wars Rebels trailer is scheduled to debut in honor of May the Fourth. According to USA Today, "the first Rebels trailer premieres early Sunday morning (3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 PT) on various websites including StarWars.com and Disney.com, and will also air during Disney XD's LEGO animated special Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles on Sunday night (7 ET/PT)."

Tiya Sircar, the voice behind the Rebel Sabine, says she "can't wait for people to find out why she's part of this Rebel crew." Sircar stressed that, "It's serious stuff."

She explained that if she had to rank her level of Star Wars fandom on a scale of 1-10, that she is now an 11. She also revealed that Vanessa Marshall, who plays Hera, and Freddie Prinze, Jr., who is the voice of Kanan in the show, know almost as much about Star Wars as Dave Filoni, who according to Sircar, is the "encyclopedia" of Star Wars.

Several new images for the show were also released, which can be seen below:

Star Wars Rebels will premiere Fall 2014 on Disney XD and will follow the characters of Ezra, Kanan, and the crew of The Ghost, answering unanswered questions about events that happened between Order 66 and A New Hope, leaving fans anxious to join their favorite heroes in the Rebellion against the Empire.

Breaking: Details Revealed About Weapons Expert Sabine

By: Lillian Skye

Sabine is a weapons expert who likes to blow things up with explosives, and according Tina Sircar, the voice behind Sabine, she "does it with flare."

Joel Aron, CG Supervisor for the show, comments that whether it's the dyed tips of her hair or through graffiti expressing the Rebellion, Sabine likes to express herself through art. Sabine likes to leave the symbol of Rebellion--the Phoenix--anywhere her ventures take her. Familiar Star Wars characters such as Cad Bane and Embo have already been popping up in Sabin's graffiti, so her art is something to pay close attention to. Maybe it will reveal more details about her past as well as the futures of some of  popular Clone Wars characters?

A character who is sassy yet serious, Sircar adds that she's "not a prissy little girl."

"She's definitely one who has turned against the Empire, and that's going to be for the Rebels' benefit," adds Dave Filoni. Plus, it has been confirmed that Sabine is in fact Mandalorian, however it has not yet been revealed whether she was born into the culture or adopted into it. Since she is Mando'a, Filoni adds that she has a great understanding of weapons and arms."

Watch the video interviews of the cast and crew for more on the spunky Sabine:
