First up, MSW is hearing that Lando Calrissian will be in Episode VIII. We know that Lando will not be in The Force Awakens and we've heard in the past that he will appear in a cameo in Episode VIII. This seems to serve as more proof that, much like the original trilogy, Lando will not appear until the second film in the trilogy.
The second tidbit is more intriguing. MSW is hearing that the licensees are being told to expect a "female Sith" character in Episode VIII. Who this character is is completely unknown and likely a new character to be revealed in the second film in the trilogy. There were rumors at one point that Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma would be Force sensitive, though it seems that plot point has been dropped. If I were betting man, I would wager that this is a new character we won't meet until May 26, 2017.
As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
