It's still hard to fathom the fact that we have at least one Star Wars film to look forward to each year for the foreseeable future. We can only assume that The Force Awakens, Rogue One and Episode VIII are only the beginning of a brand new saga. Following those films up will be another Anthology film and the final movie in the Sequel Trilogy, Episode IX. Those have been tentatively slated for release in 2018 and 2019, respectively, but due to some changes behind the scenes rumors has circulated that the schedule may have changed. More specifically,  Things heated up when it was announced that Josh Trank, the director initially chosen to helm the second Anthology film, had left the production. This led to reports suggesting that the film may be delayed, but we have since received word from official sources saying that this is not the case.

Last week a Disney Expo was held in São Paulo, Brazil. The Pixar Brazil Blog reported that Disney unveiled their slate of films to be released in 2018 and 2019, which included Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies. A photo from the expo shows that a "Star Wars Spin Off Film" is set to be released in 2018 and Episode IX in 2019.

So there you have it. Contrary to any rumors we've heard, the Star Wars film release schedule appears to still be on track, which means us Star Wars fans will be spending a lot of money on movie tickets over the next few years.
