Easily one of the most anticipated games of the year, and for Star Wars fans, the decade, Star Wars Battlefront is set to be released this Holiday season, and thankfully we're already getting some glimpses as the game. Today, IGN revealed an amazing piece of concept from Battlefront featuring an intense scene based on Return Of The Jedi's Battle of Endor. Check out the full artwork below:
IGN also spoke with Niklas Fegraeus, the design director on Battlefront, and he had some interesting tidbits of information to reveal. For one, the size of maps will vary greatly from planet to planet. He explains further:
“We have actually made the decision to specifically tailor certain maps to certain game modes... and what we get from that is not only incredibly varied scales, but also gameplay that will allow players to live out some of their most memorable Star Wars battle fantasies.”
He continues discussing what we can expect from the game:
“We’ve been showing the game to some close partners and one of the things we hear is that it doesn’t feel like other shooters and that it’s fully born from Star Wars. That really strikes a chord with me and the team as that is exactly the emotion and feeling we are going for and we can’t wait to show the world more this spring.”
