Of all the incredible things going on the set of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, one thing in particular stood out Mark Hamill as strange. Hamill spoke with the Chicago Sun-Times and he described the practices that were in place to hide him from drones flying over Pinewood Studios trying to get a sneak peak at the new movie. Hamill said,
"It’s the first time I’ve ever been on a movie set where if you go from your trailer to a soundstage, you have to put on an enormous robe with a hood that hangs down over your head. I asked one of the production assistants, ‘What’s this all about.’ They told me, ‘Oh, it’s because of the drones,’ flying overhead, taking photographs of people walking to the soundstage."
It does seem a bit ridiculous, but then drones were able to capture some stunning images of the Greenham Common set, which featured several X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon. Like this one,
