Filming for Star Wars(Episode VII): The Force Awakens has officially wrapped, but we're continuing to get details about all that's been happening at Pinewood Studios these past several months. One of the latest nuggets of info comes from Pinewood's web site, where The Force Awakens' profile shows that the "Exterior tank" was used for filming, among many other stages. The tank, also know as the Paddock Tank, can hold 806,000 gallons of water and features a 240ft x 60ft blue/green screen backing. The official description reads:

"The tank can be used for model units or live action sequences and is conveniently located next to the Pinewood Studios Underwater Stage. The inner tank allows the depth needed for stunts or complex set construction within the tank."

An aerial view of the empty tank.

The tank is relatively shallow at 4ft deep, so any filming there was definitely done above the surface. Some of the leaked concept art we've seen features water, and the filming that was done on the island of Skellig Michael could give us clues as to what this water sequence will include. What kind of scene do you think, or hope, to see in the finished film? Let us know in the comments below.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters December 18th, 2015!
