When Episode VII started filming on Friday, the significance of what the cast and crew is doing was not lost on director JJ Abrams.  Abrams sent out a note to the entire cast and crew thanking them for their work on the film.  The note was picked up on and released by Screen Crush.  It's a pretty nice note with a sweet sentiment.  Check it out below,

If you're having trouble reading the note it reads,

Dearest Cast and Crew,
What an honor it is to work beside all of you, on Star Wars Ep VII. I can’t thank you enough, for all work past and future. Let’s take good care of not just ourselves, but of each other. Amazing, but true: the world awaits this film. Let’s give ‘em something GREAT.
xo JJ

It's clear that Abrams understands the excitement that surrounds the film and the honor that it is to be making it.
