It's finally happened! For years fans have been asking for a third installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series and EA has delivered. EA announced during their presentation at E3 that their DICE studio will be working on Star Wars: Battlefront. The game will be designed utilizing the Frostbite 3 engine. The announcement came with a short teaser for the game featuring a snowpeeder being shot down by an AT-AT. Check out the teaser below:
The official StarWars.com Blog confirmed in the official press release that players will be able to play as "the Empire, the Republic, the Rebellion, and other factions". No word yet on a release date for the title, but seeing as there was no gameplay footage shown I wouldn't expect it to see until next year at the earliest.
