Star Wars Episode VII producer Bryan Burk spoke with Collider recently and revealed that he believed Star Wars Episode VII would begin filming in 2014. Burk told Collider, "We’re progressing on a schedule to hopefully begin next year, or the
beginning of next year, and the location is still kind of floating
around in the air all depending on script and a whole bunch of other
issues. As I just said, everything is kind of a free-flowing thing, and
when we feel like the story level on this script and everything is
really coming together and schedules are all working and pieces line up,
we prowl ahead, and Star Wars will be no different."
So there you have it, you can expect the internet to explode with pictures from the set of Episode VII in early 2014. The date makes sense based on the pace at which this movie seems to be moving (with no real announcements since JJ Abrams was confirmed as director in January). Hopefully this means the pre-production is going to really get rolling and we can get some casting announcements in the not to distant future....
