One of the few "good" things to come out of the cancellation of The Clone Wars, is the news that Dave Filoni is working on developing a new Star Wars animated TV series. We may have just gotten our first kinda-sorta look at that series. Dave Filoni recently posted some sketches of TIE Fighters (seen above) on his Facebook page with the caption, "It’s hard to believe that I have worked at
Lucasfilm almost eight years, and this is the first time I have ever
gotten to draw a TIE fighter."
Could this be our first look at the yet-to-be-named-or-even-really-announced series, or was it just Filoni playing a prank on us? It makes sense that's it's the former, as the main the main speculation is that the series will be set between Episodes VI and VII and TIE fighters would likely play some role in there. Combine that with the following tweet from Filoni and it seems they may have decided on what their going to do with the new series.
Only 83 days until @sw_celebration. I hope I have something to talk about by then!

Now, again, this tweet can be taken two different ways. It could mean that Filoni is getting ready to show us a preview of this new series at Star Wars Celebration Europe this July 26th-28th at the Messe Essen in Essen, Germany, or it could just mean that Filoni hopes to show us some of that Bonus Content from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, or it could mean both. We'll just have to wait and see.
