Before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters, fans will get a brief look at some of the backstory to Supreme Leader Kylo Ren when Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #1, the first in a four issue comic book miniseries, hits shelves on December 18th. The series, which is written by Charles Soule (Poe Dameron, Obi-Wan and Anakin), will pick up right after Luke Skywalker and Ben Solo's infamous confrontation which led to Ben destroying Luke's temple (as seen in The Last Jedi).

In the lead up to their
huge issue on
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker,
Empire Magazine has been dishing out some fascinating new details about the upcoming film. The issue is expected to feature interviews with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, director & writer J.J. Abrams, and co-writer Chris Terrio. Terrio specifically is someone who has largely stayed out of the spotlight thus far, but now has began speaking out about the film and his part in crafting the story.

San Diego Comic-Con we were treated to several exciting announcements at the
Lucasfilm Publishing panel! We're going to be getting lots of amazing Star Wars books and comics over the next few months, and many of which will tie directly into
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. The most thrilling of which will be a comic series focused on Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren.
