While the rest of the world waits for Star Wars Celebration in Orlando next month for our first look at Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, attendees of CinemaCon got their first look tonight during Disney's presentation.  Disney screened a special sizzle reel promoting their upcoming films for the members of the film industry and members of the press in attendance.  While there was certainly not as much footage from The Last Jedi screened at CinemaCon as there was at the Disney shareholders meeting a few weeks ago, there were at least two shots of interest.  iO9's Germain Lussier was in attendance at the event and tweeted what he saw,

Disney to Include Lucasfilm Titles in Cinema Con Presentation

The annual Cinema Con event, The National Association of Theatre Owners official convention, is taking place this week and Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn will be giving the Disney presentation, which promises to include updates on Lucasfilm titles.  The presentation is scheduled for 9:45 am on Wednesday (March 26th).  According The Hollywood Reporter, the presentation will include,

"Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn and executive vp, theatrical distribution Dave Hollis will host Disney's presentation, which will also cover Marvel and Lucasfilm titles. The studio's summer slate includes Maleficent, Million Dollar Arm and The Hundred-Foot Journey. Sources say Mad Men star Jon Hamm will be on-hand to speak about the sports drama, which will screen in full after the presentation. As for upcoming Marvel films, Guardians of the Galaxy comes to theaters in August, so leading man Chris Pratt is likely to drop by to tease the new superhero ensemble film."

It seems unlikely that anything new will be revealed at the event.  The presentation will likely be a rehash of already revealed material about Episode VII (set 30 after Return of the Jedi, trio of new young leads, very familiar faces, R2-D2, JJ Abrams, etc.) Following the D23 fiasco last summer, Disney has probably learned not to hype up the Lucasfilm aspect of the presentation if there isn't anything major to be revealed.

Regardless, we will wait with bated breath as reports roll in on Wednesday to see if, on the off chance, something was revealed.
