Del Rey Previews 'From A Certain Point Of View' Short Stories on Twitter

We're less than three weeks away from the release of the upcoming collection of short stories, Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View, which retells the story of A New Hope from perspective of various secondary and background characters.  The book, which features stories by forty different authors, is being released in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. To promote the upcoming release of the book, several of the authors involved are tweeting images which reveal the character their story focuses on and contains a quote from their story.  Check out the tweets below,

'Star Wars' San Diego Comic Con Exclusives Revealed

Lucasfilm revealed several of the products that will be exclusively available at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con next month.  In a StarWars.com post, the exclusives for Bio World, Del Rey Books, Gentle Giant, Hallmark, Her Universe, Nixon, Petco, and Stance were revealed.  San Diego Comic Con takes place next month from July 19-23, prices on the exclusives range from $8 to $2,500.  Check them out below,

First Preview for 'Battlefront II: Inferno Squad' Released

Lucasfilm and Del Rey Books released the first preview excerpt from the upcoming novel Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad today in USA Today.  The novel serves as both a prequel to the campaign mode in Star Wars Battlefront II and a follow up to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.  The book will see Inferno Squad, led by Commander Iden Versio, tracking down the surviving members of Saw Gerrera's partisans who made it off Jedha following the Death Star attack.  Inferno Squad is written by Christie Golden, who has previously written the novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple.  The novel is slated for a release on July 25th.

Janina Gavankar to Narrate 'Battlefront II: Inferno Squad' Audiobook

Between a new trailer and the first gameplay footage, there has been a lot of news about Star Wars Battlefront II coming out of EA Play this weekend.  In addition to all the news about the game itself, we've also learned a fun tidbit about the Battlefront II tie-in novel Inferno Squad by Christie Golden (Star Wars: Dark Disciple).  This weekend it was revealed that actress Janina Gavankar, who will play Commander Iden Versio in the game, will narrate the audiobook.  This was first reported by Florian from Jedi-Biblithek on Twitter.  The actress later confirmed the news, tweeting, "Secret is out? I can talk about this now?? Tis truuue!!!! And Ms. @ChristieGolden has me so emotional with this backstory."

Del Rey Teases New 'Star Wars' Announcement Coming Tomorrow, "Operation Blue Milk"

Del Rey Books, the publishers of the Star Wars adult fiction novels, are teasing a new announcement coming tomorrow, with the code name "Operation Blue Milk".  Del Rey took to their social media to tease the project posting a picture of a manila folder "Operation Blue Milk" promising more details tomorrow and encouraging those seeking out hints to click on the hashtag.

Del Rey Announces Star Wars Celebration Schedule & Exclusives

Del Rey are coming to the Behind the Scenes stage at Star Wars Celebration Orlando next month.

Unbound Worlds have reported that there will be author signings (of all of which are free and the schedule of which is subject to change) purchasing books and meeting members of the Del Rey team. 

This is deemed to be the place to be if you are a fan of Star Wars books.

New 'Rogue One' Follow Up Novel 'Star Wars: Inferno Squad' Announced

Lucasfilm has announced a new novel set in the aftermath of the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The new novel is titled Star Wars: Inferno Squad and will follow an elite squad of stormtroopers who are tasked with hunting down the surviving members of Saw Gerrera's Partisans.  Inferno Squad is written by Christie Golden (Star Wars: Dark Disciple, Fate of the Jedi) and will hit shelves on July 25th.  You can read the official preview synopsis below,
