Today, Disney held their annual shareholders meeting today where they screened the first bit of footage from Star Wars Episode IX to people outside of the production crew. Disney CEO Bob Iger introduced the footage, which was reportedly a combination of actual scenes from the film and behind the scenes moments. The clip has not been made publicly available (and likely won't be), but fortunately people inside the event have take to social media to describe what they saw.
The footage from Avengers, Episode IX, Lion King, and Aladdin all looked great. Hopefully the people up in arms about the genie will settle down once they see what we saw.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
A bit of both. Will share some when I'm indoors. Have to put gloves on— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
We saw a blockade runner in an abandoned looking hangar. An explosion knocking Stormtroopers in a starship hangar bay. Kylo Ren in a white room looking at the Vader helmet. Rey, Finn, Poe in Falcon cockpit.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Lando briefly. Rey with Chewie's bowcastet. Finn in some abandoned looking ship interior.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
So @dizparks just reminded me that we saw a marketplace (?) scene with Rey walking through and some aliens.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
No, it was more of like wooden stands an a number of characters in your classic alien Star Wars character outfits. Did look sandy though.— What A Concept (@dizparks) March 7, 2019
He was in a room like in the rebel Blockade runner style, that bright white. And he's looking down as a box or container opens to reveal the charred Vader helmet.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Kylo is not wearing a helmet.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Going to guess no but the scene goes by so quick I couldn't really say. It's all so overwhelming to take it all in.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Her hair looks pretty much the same as in the previous film.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
I think it was up in most scenes, but it went by so fast I may have missed it.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
It's so hard to recall because it fits from scene to scene so fast. Nothing really stands out from the behind the scenes.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Oh wait! I just remembered... A really cool clip of Daisy doing wire work, jumping and turning a somersault high up in the air with a lightsaber.
Yes, pretty sure on the behind the scenes we see her doing wire work with a saber in hand I think. Not in the finished footage that I can recall but I could have missed it.— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Almost none, just some saying we go together or in this together from Rey, Poe, Finn.— What A Concept (@dizparks) March 7, 2019
I think he was on the Falcon, just quick view of him from shoulders up. @dizparks Lando was on the Falcon right?
— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
That’s correct, he was on the Falcon. It looked like it was his first time back on it by how he kind of touched the wall.

From the wire scene they showed us the prop was blue. If that helps

BB-8 was there! Didn't mean to imply he wasn't.
— Scott Ladewig (@Ladewig) March 7, 2019
Hmmm. Don't remember seeing porgs but it was a quick sequence of scenes.

Obviously, this is a very early teaser for the film (which just finished shooting a couple of weeks ago) and it will be interesting to see how much of it ends up in the trailer (likely coming at Star Wars Celebration in April). And before you ask, no they didn't reveal the title. That's still JJ Abrams' secret to keep.
The big takeaway in my mind is that we are seeing the return of Darth Vader's helmet, last seen in The Force Awakens. In The Last Jedi, Kylo appeared to be trying to establish himself as being more than just a Vader-wannabe ("a child in a mask" as his master put it). So it's very interesting now that Snoke's dead and he's Supreme Leader of the First Order, that he's brought back his Grandfather's mask. Now that he's completely isolated (Snoke's dead, Rey rejected him, Hux's resents him, etc.), it seems he may be reverting to some of his old ways. What this means for his arc in Episode IX, it's hard to say but it is very interesting.
Huge thanks to @Ladewig and @Dizparks for sharing what they saw in the shareholders meeting, and to @sleemo_ for keeping everyone up to date on what was going on in the meeting on Twitter.
