Lucasfilm made two exciting announcement for young fans of the galaxy far, far away. StarWars.com revealed today that they are launching a brand new "Star Wars Kids" YouTube channel, and that the first content available on that channel will be a new series of animated shorts called Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures.  The first six shorts will be released on November 30th, with more new episodes coming in December and throughout 2019.  A trailer for Galaxy of Adventures was released today (on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel), which you can see below,

To coincide with the release of new episodes of Galaxy of Adventures, guides will be released for older fans to share with younger fans who are looking for more.  Hasbro will also be releasing a new line of Star Wars toys, which will be available starting in December as a Walmart exclusive, and everywhere starting in January.

Lucasfilm’s vice president for franchise content and strategy James Waugh told StarWars.com,

"With Galaxy of Adventures, we wanted to craft something that allowed parents to help their kids take their first step into a much larger world whether they were ready to show their kids the films or wanted to find new ways to explore the content."

StarWars.com also described the new series of animated shorts as,

"The dynamic animated adventures are only part of a multi-pronged initiative under the Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures banner, and the beginning of a year-long celebration of Star Wars storytelling, which will culminate with the final chapter in the Skywalker saga — Star Wars: Episode IX — in theaters December 2019."

In addition, a poster for the series was revealed, check it out below,
