Work on Solo: A Star Wars Story is done!  The film, which has had a tumultuous production to say the least, is finally ready for audiences (three weeks before its work premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15th).  Director Ron Howard to took Twitter to share the news, tweeting, "That’s a wrap on post production! #Solo @HanSoloStory #SkywalkerRanch Wow. What a movie-making adventure it’s been! Thanks to a terrific cast & extraordinary folks behind the camera as well. You’ve worked so hard to fully realize this cool story. Hope fans have a blast! #May25"

Howard also shared a video on Instagram of him going for one last drive around Skywalker Ranch where post-production work on Solo was done,
The road to Solo has been a weird one.  The film was announced back in 2015 with Phil Lord and Chris Miller as directors.  Then, almost two years later and after several months of filming, it was announced that Lord and Miller would be leaving the project.  They were replaced a few days later by Ron Howard, who began the process of re-shooting a large percentage of the film.  Filming finally concluded in October.  And now, after seven months of post-production, the film is finally ready for audiences.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Qi'Ra, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Tobias Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as L3-37, Thandie Newton (Westworld) as Val, and Paul Bettany (The Avengers) as Dryden Vos.  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
