Clint Howard's Cameo In 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Revealed

Part of the fun enjoying a new Star Wars film is watching it over and over trying to catch all the subtleties and Easter Eggs peppered throughout. Solo: A Star Wars A Star Wars Story is just a month away, and director Ron Howard is already giving us a sneak peak at a big Solo Easter Egg.

Actor Clint Howard, brother of Ron, has become something of a legend himself over his long acting career, having appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including 17 films directed by his brother. Ron Howard previously teased that his brother Clint would indeed have a role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and today he gave us a huge clue about where to spot him in the film.

On Twitter, Ron Howard shared a behind the scenes photo showing sound editors working diligently on the sound mix for Solo in a theater room. The massive screen in the background shows a scene from Solo which features a long-haired, bearded Clint Howard in a very Star Wars-y environment. Ron's caption for the photo confirms it; "#SoloAStarWarsStory final sound mix, #SkywalkerSound - proof that #ClintHoward fans have something to look forward to #May25":

Clint's look in this still appears to match that of a character spotted in the newest Solo trailer. At about 1:05 in the trailer, L3-37 (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) can be seen grabbing a human character by his face, which prompts Lando(Donald Glover) to ask her to "let go of the mean man's face." I think it's a safe bet that this character is Clint Howard.

Clint Howard will star(perhaps briefly) alongside Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!)  as Han Solo, Joonas Suotamo (The Last Jedi) as Chewbacca, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Qi'Ra, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as L3-37, Thandie Newton (Westworld) as Val, and Paul Bettany (The Avengers) as Dryden Vos.  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time). Solo: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on May 25th!
