One of the many elements that makes up each and every Star Wars film is the sound design. While much of their work goes unnoticed by the average moviegoer, sound designers still go the extra mile to make their films sound as real and immersive as they look.

The latest installment in the saga, The Last Jedi, is an incredible example of great sound design, so much so that it earned Academy Award nominations for both sound editing and mixing. A new behind the scenes documentary from ABC, titled 'The Force Of Sound", is promising to reveal how the sounds of Episode VIII came to be.

A trailer for the documentary was released, which includes interviews with writer/director Rian Johnson and supervising sound editor Matthew Wood, as well as archival interviews with legendary sound designer Ben Burtt. We also get some fascinating behind the scenes footage showing how several of the sounds in the film were created. You can watch the trailer below:

"The Force Of Sound" will be available to stream on ABC Features starting Tuesday, February 20th.
