The era of Star Wars Rebels is (sadly) almost at its end. The 90-minute series finale will air on Disney XD on March 10th at 8:30pm, and production on that finale is pretty much done. Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni confirmed on social media this weekend that the final sound mix for the series has been completed. Filoni posted, "The final sound mix for Star Wars Rebels is complete. The music, the sound design; it’s everything I hoped it would be."
Filoni had previously shared that composer Kevin Kiner had completed the score at the beginning of the month, recording with an orchestra--something that is only done for Star Wars animation for the most important episodes.
The final half season of Star Wars Rebels will air over three weeks beginning on February 19th with the episodes "Jedi Night" and "DUME", followed by the episode "Wolves and a Door" and "A World Between Worlds" on March 3rd, and then the finale on March 10th "A Fool’s Hope," and "Family Reunion and Farewell."
