One of the characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens that has had fans talking most since the film's release in 2015 is Supreme Leader Snoke of the First Order, with theories about his backstory becoming a running joke in Star Wars fandom. Based on the recent trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi we can expect to see more of Snoke in the upcoming film than we did in The Force Awakens (although not that much). Following the release of the trailer, IGN spoke with Andy Serkis, who portrays Snoke in the films, about the character and if he knew the character's mysterious backstory.
Serkis replied, "Oh yeah, absolutely I know it." Unfortunately he couldn't say anymore.
He also shared his thoughts on the new trailer which debuted last week during Monday Night Football, saying, "I thought the trailer was spectacular, and very intense. It absolutely
reflects the tone and the feel of the movie. I do think
this movie is going to really surprise people with its plotline and
story and its tension in it."
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th. The
film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daisy Ridley as
Rey, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as
Kylo Ren, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico,
Laura Dern as Amilyn Holdo, Benicio Del Toro as DJ, and Lupita Nyong'o
as Maz Kanata.
