Timothy Zahn's novel Star Wars: Choices of One was first published on this day back on July 19, 2011.
The book is set before the events in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and follows the journey of Luke Skywalker following the end of A New Hope.
The iconic Legends character Mara Jade - the Emperor's Hand - makes an appearance in the novel, along with a young Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa.
The publisher summarised the novel:
"Eight months after the Battle of Yavin, the Rebllion is in desperate need of a new base. So when Governor Ferrouz of Candoras sector proposes an alliance, offering the Rebels sanctuary in return for protection against the alien warlord Nuso Esva, Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie are sent to evaluate the deal.
"Mara Jade, the Emperor's Hand, is also heading for Candoras, along with the five renegade stormtroopers known as the Hand of Judgement. Their mission: to punish Ferrouz's treason and smash the Rebels for good."
