'Star Wars: Forces of Destiny' To Debut on July 3rd

Lucasfilm has announced that the animated mini series Star Wars: Forces of Destiny will debut on the official Disney YouTube channel on July 3rd.  The series, which is written by Jennifer Muro, will span multiple eras with each episode featuring a different female hero from the Star Wars galaxy.  The cast of Forces of Destiny features many stars of previous Star Wars films and TV shows, including Daisy Ridley as Rey, Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Tiya Sircar as Sabine Wren, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, and Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker.  Also released was a new trailer for the series, which you can check out below,

A new episode of the micro series will debut online every day leading up to the series' broadcast debut on the Disney Channel on July 9th.  In addition to the animated series, a line of "Adventure Figures" will also be released to coincide with the series.  No word yet on when the figures will begin hitting shelves.  Both the series and the figures were announced just prior to Celebration Orlando in April.  Forces of Destiny became the focus of the "Heroines of Star Wars" panel during Celebration, which featured Ridley, Eckstein, and Sircar, alongside executive producer Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels).  You can watch the panel below,
