By Ciaran Duggan,

Nathan Ellias Hammil, who is the son of Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker in the Original Trilogy, was born on this day back in 1979.

The 38-year-old actor appeared in George Lucas' first installment of the Prequel Films. He played two different background characters.

One of the characters was  a human male from Naboo, Rehtul Minnau. The Naboo male was the older brother of Teckla Minnau, who appeared in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated TV series.

The American actor also portrayed a podracing spectator who sat next to Watto during the iconic race sequence in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Hamill also illustrated sketch cards for the Topps: Star Wars Galaxy Series 4 trading card set back in 2009.
