By Ciaran Duggan,

George Lucas' Star Wars: The Clone Wars won two Emmys for its fifth and final season at the 40th annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards back in 2013.

The show received awards in two different categories - Outstanding Special Class Animated Program and Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.

Carrie Fisher presented the first award to the creator and executive producer of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, George Lucas.

The Princess, who sadly died after a cardiac arrest last December, enthusiastically shouted "Yes!" when she announced the winner of the award.

David Tennant was honoured in the latter category for his performance as Professor Huyang, an ancient droid wise in the ways of lightsaber construction.

He played the droid in Season Five episodes 'A Test of Strength' and 'A Necessary Bond' which were part of a four-part arc featuring Padawans on a Jedi rite of passage which took a turn for the worse.
