Disney have unveiled a new online Star Wars series which explores, explains and demonstrates the parallels between the sci-fi film and the real-world scientific discoveries the saga has helped to inspire.
The Star Wars web-series is named Science and Star Wars and is set to feature a roster of IBM Researchers, scientific experts and guest stars to examine and experiment with technology used in the Star Wars films.
The series is set to be presented by Anthony Carboni, who is the current co-host of The Star Wars Show.
Writer and producer of The Star Wars Show, Scott Bromley, is also set to be working on the new Star Wars online series.

This announcement was made earlier today after Disney unveiled the Disney Digitial Network, which uses creators and brands from its Maker Studios, at the IAB Digital Content Newfronts.
The Disney Digital Network has amassed one billion followers, combining over 300 social media channels, and will be made up of existing Disney editorial brands such as Oh My Disney, Disney Family, StarWars.com and Star Wars App.
