Big news for the future of the Skywalker saga just broke! After it was confirmed that the upcoming untitled Han Solo film would be released on May 25th, 2018, speculation began to brew that all future Star Wars films may be going back to May release dates. Now it appears that isn't the case at all.
Today, we have confirmed with our inside sources that Star Wars Episode IX will be released on February 29th, 2019! After two very successful releases in December, and a long history of releases in May, it is surprising to see Disney and Lucasfilm changing things up once again.
Mark your calendars! 2019 is going to be an amazing year for Star Wars fans!
Star Wars Episode IX is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Ahmed Best, Andy Serkis, Kristen Stewart, Domhnall Gleeson, Justin Bieber, Oscar Isaac, Beyoncé Knowles, Anthony Daniels, Donald J. Trump, and Jimmy Vee as R2-D2.
