Captain Phasma news continues to pour out of Celebration Orlando. During the "Just finished publishing panel" at Star Wars Celebration, it was announced a new Captain Phasma miniseries is being put forth by Marvel comics. The 4-issue miniseries will explore what happens to the chrome-plated Captain after being put in the trash compacter in The Force Awakens.
The miniseries is being created by writer Kelly Thompson, art work will be done by Marco Checchetto. "Like most, I'm a huge fan of both Gwendoline Christie and Phasma," Thompson said during an interview with starwars.com. "Christie is magnetic and Phasma has so much fascinating untapped potential...potential which I can't wait to help unlock for fans in our comic."
The will four editions will be part of the "Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi" series, of which the Captain Phasma novel releasing later this year is also a part of. Both are currently estimated for a September release.
